Product Description

TM1637 LED Display Module 4Bit 0.36Inch Red Clock Display

7-Segment Display with Serial Driver for Arduino

The TM1637 LED Display Module is a compact 4digit 7segment display featuring 0.36inch red digits with an integrated TM1637 driver IC. This module uses a 2wire serial interface (CLK and DIO) to control all 4 digits using only two I/O pins on your Arduino, ESP32, or other microcontroller. Perfect for clocks, counters, timers, and temperature displays.

4digit 0.36inch red display with built-in TM1637 driver
Uses only 2 I/O pins - saves valuable GPIO for other sensors
Operating voltage: 3.3V to 5.5V - works with both 3.3V and 5V logic

Wiring Guide

Module PinArduino PinESP32 PinDescription
VCC5V3.3V or 5VPower supply
GNDGNDGNDGround
CLKD2GPIO 16Clock signal
DIOD3GPIO 17Data input/output

> Connect VCC to 5V for best brightness, or 3.3V for lower power

Use 5V for maximum brightness - 3.3V will work with slightly dimmer display
No pullup resistors needed TM1637 handles communication internally

## How It Works

The TM1637 chip controls all 4 digits using a 2-wire serial communication protocol:

  1. Data is sent from microcontroller to TM1637 via DIO pin
  2. CLK pin synchronizes data transfer
  3. TM1637 internally refreshes the display
  4. Brightness and display on/off controlled by commands
  5. Colon points can be individually controlled
The module automatically refreshes the display - no continuous refresh needed
The TM1637 can also control up to 6 digits and 8 segments with different configurations
The communication protocol is proprietary but well-documented in libraries
